The date is fast approaching for March's Pokemon GO Community Day. So far this year, we've been blessed with both Machop and Roselia, and now it's the turn of the Tiny Robin Pokemon, Fletchling. Here is everything you need to know about the upcoming Shiny Fletchling Pokemon GO Community Day for March 2021.

Start time and Date

Fletchling's Community Day kicks off this weekend. The Pokemon will be appearing more frequently in the wild on Saturday, March 6 between 11 am and 5 pm local time.

Shiny Fletchling Details

This is the first time Shiny Fletchling will be available in Pokemon GO. Unfortunately for shiny lovers, there's not a huge deal of difference with Fletchling's shiny form. Fletchling is usually a red and light blue bird. When you encounter its shiny form in Pokemon GO, be on the lookout for a slightly more orangey hue. This goes for the whole Fletchling line too. When you evolve the Pokemon, its evolution's changes are equally as modest.

Speaking of evolutions, Fletchling evolves into Fletchinder, who in turn, evolves into Talonflame. Players have the opportunity for Talonflame to learn Incinerate during this event, provided Fletchinder is evolved by no later than 7 pm local time.

Pokemon GO Community Day details

There are a few other relevant details that trainers should be aware of ahead of the upcoming Fletchling Community Day.

As with all of the recent Community Days, Incense activated during the event window will last for three hours. This provides a great opportunity for trainers who are unable to leave their houses due to the pandemic.

Players taking part in the event will also earn 3x catch exp - perfect for hitting those new levels that dropped at the end of last year. Cracking a Lucky Egg will grant players a 6x exp boost for good measure.

Finally, for those who want to spend a little more, Niantic is offering a Special Research event and a big item bundle. The Special Research event is titled "The Bravest Bird" and will offer players the opportunity to earn a range of rewards. The Research will be available for 0.99 USD (or equivalent currency). Those looking to purchase the Community Bundle will receive 1x Elite Fast TM, 50x Ultra Ball, 1x Poffin and 5x Lucky Egg for 1280 Pokecoins.
