ShockCast Episode 29 – “Is PC Gaming Making a Comeback?”

By Joel Taveras

September 3, 2010

During GamesCom this year Microsoft showed a renewed re-focusing on the PC platform. With titles like Microsoft Flight and Age of Empires Online being announced and titles like Starcraft II currently dominating sales charts it’s easy to see that there seems to be a shift in place and PC gaming is once again coming to the forefront. Is it enough? Is PC gaming making a comeback? If you listen to some of the guys during the podcast they may just be able to convince you that it never left. For our second segment we discuss Steve Job’s latest ridiculous quote, in which he describes the iPod touch as a handheld. And for our 3rd topic we show our dislike for Microsoft’s Xbox Live pricing going up by 10 bucks this year. Make sure to give this one a listen!
