Looking to fill up your bookshelf with more gaming-related literature? Developer Yacht Club Games has partnered with Penguin Books to bring “shovelry” to your paperback collection.

What exactly is included in the collection?

First and foremost, an official Shovel Knight Guidebook which will help you navigate through the original Shovel Knight. Featuring tips, tricks, artwork, and a new poster, the Guidebook is the official strategy guide for the 2D platformer. That book is available

Next, the Shovel Knight Codes of Shovelry Handbook clocks in around half the pages of the Guidebook, but functions as more of an encyclopedia of the world. With some background on Shovel Knight, Shield Knight, and the Enchantress, the game will occasionally delve into gameplay. The Shovel Knight Codes of Shovelry Handbook is only $5.61.

Next are two kid-friendly books: the Shovel Knight Digger’s Diary and Shovel Knight Mad Libs. While the Digger’s Diary is essentially an activity book, the Mad Libs is what you would expect — Mad Libs. Both are going for $8.99 and $4.99, respectively.

Shovel Knight originally released in June 2014, getting rave reviews — including us, who scored the game at a 9.5 out of 10. The game continues to be updated, including the “Specter of Torment” expansion coming to many platforms this week.
