It's been a long time coming, but today, Yacht Club Games revealed some new information on the final expansions for Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove with both King of Cards and Showdown.

Yacht Club released a new trailer for both King of Cards and Showdown respectively and showed off some new gameplay from each. King of Cards, which lets you play as the bouncy King Knight, continues to look as interesting as ever. We also get a look at some more of the card game functionality that will be included in the game's campaign. If you like Spectre of Torment and Plague of ShadowsKing of Cards looks like it'll be every bit as enjoyable.

As for Shovel Knight Showdown, the new gameplay actually looks stellar. If you're unfamiliar with Showdown, it's the multiplayer party game portion of Shovel Knight. Think along the lines of Super Smash Bros. but with Shovel Knight characters. The latest gameplay we have seen is one of the first extended looks we've had at this multiplayer offering and it seems like it'll be very fun.

Perhaps best of all, Yacht Club confirmed that both King of Cards and Showdown will be dropping later this in December. In addition, the long-awaited Shovel Knight amiibo three-pack will also be releasing in December, too. There's still a whole lot more Shovel Knight content to be had, and fortunately, it'll all be dropping before 2019 has wrapped up.

For more on Yacht Club, the studio also announced Shovel Knight Dig today, a new spin-off in the series that'll be arriving down the road. As for Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove, it's currently available on PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Switch.
