Shuhei Yoshida Confirms That The PS Vita Is Region Free

on September 16, 2011 6:23 PM

A few minutes ago the President of Sony Worldwide Studios Shuhei Yoshida has been asked on Twitter if the PS Vita would continue the tradition of being region free started with the PS3 and the PSP. His answer¬†was simple and extremely pleasing: “Yes it is“.

There you have it, straight from the horse’s mouth, for the ones that had any doubts. You can start writing down the list of the games you want to import or saving your money to buy a Vita on the Japanese street date. If I said I wasn’t tempted, it’d be a horrible, horrible lie.
