Hajime Tabata and Fumito Ueda Celebrate the Launch of Their Games Together with Shuhei Yoshida

December 8, 2016

President of Sony’s Worldwide Studios Shuhei Yoshida-san posted a picture on Twitter today showing him sitting happily alongside The Last Guardian Creative Director Fumito Ueda-san and Final Fantasy XV Game Director Hajime Tabata-san, calling their meeting a celebration of the release of both titles.

Holding their thumbs up to a funny lens, Tabata-san, who’s accompanied by other Final Fantasy XV game designers, holds a copy of The Last Guardian in his hand. It’s great to see a coming together of industry greats like this, if anything to see how supportive developers are of one another.

The official Final Fantasy XV Twitter account afterword thanked Yoshida-san for the celebration.

PlayStation 4 exclusive title The Last Guardian released almost everywhere in the world this week, whereas Final Fantasy XV released almost everywhere in the world last week. Both games are enjoying great success so far, as the former title has exceeded publisher Sony Interactive Entertainment’s pre-order expectations, and the latter is the fastest selling entry in its series’ history.
