While Hideo Kojima and Guillermo Del Toro's Silent Hills never came to be, its fandom is still alive and well to this day. YellowCake Cosplay created an absolutely frightening costume recreation of Lisa from the game's playable teaser, titled P.T. You can check out some images of it down below.

Silent Hills

Needless to say, the cosplay immediately reminded me how sad I was that Silent Hills was canceled by Konami, although I was equally reminded how freaking scared I was throughout the entirety of P.T. It was also really sweet to see that Hideo Kojima himself retweeted the images to his official Twitter page.

While P.T. was ultimately removed from the PlayStation store following the game's cancellation, a college student created an incredibly identical recreation of the demo in Unreal Engine 4 on PC. Better yet, it can be played using a virtual reality headset if you really want to do that to yourself.

Kojima-san has moved onto another project titled Death Stranding that's coming exclusively to PS4 sometime in the future. Death Stranding has some little bits of Silent Hills sprinkled throughout even though the two appear to be entirely different genres. For example, Norman Reedus, who was revealed to be the main character of Silent Hills, is now acting as the main protagonist of Death Stranding. Additionally, Guillermo Del Toro is also involved as another character in-game, however, we don't know much about his role.

Death Stranding is being developed using the Decima Engine from Guerilla Games (Horizon: Zero Dawn, Killzone: Shadowfall). As of right now, the PS4 exclusive title does not have any sort of release window. Of course, if you enjoyed the cosplay be sure to give cosplayer YellowCake Cosplay a follow over on Twitter.
