SimCity Social Producer Diary Gives Us a Glimpse on Social City Building

Sim City Social is the first Facebook game that threatens to actually suck me in, despite my notorious hatred for casual gaming, and today Electronic Arts made things worse by posting a new Dev Diary in which Producer Pete Lake shows us more of what the game will look like.

We finally get to see how the economy will work, with buildings costing Simoleons (the game’s currency produced by businesses) and materials produced by industry. We also see the interaction with our Facebook friends, which is what often tends to turn me off from Facebook games, as I really dislike spamming my contacts with invites and such. Will this be my saving grace this time as well?
