SimCity’s Core Problem is “Almost Behind Us”
This morning Maxis Senior Vice President Lucy Bradshaw posted a message on the official SimCity blog, stating that the online woes that plagued the game for almost a week are on the way to their end.
While she had hoped to be able to post an “all clear” message today, players have reached a total of eight million hours of gameplay with a 92% reduction in crashes.
According to Bradshaw, Maxis needs “a few more days of data before we can assure you that the problem is completely solved and the game is running at 100 percent.”
She also stated that tens of thousands of new players are streaming into the game every day despite the negative reviews, expressing gratitude for the confidence shown in Maxis’ ability to solve the issues.
