The cast was officially announced today for the upcoming Star Wars Obi-Wan Kenobi TV series. Among a sea of stars, Simone Kessell was announced as having a role in the Disney+ Show.

Rumors about the Kenobi cast have been circulating the internet since its 2019 announcement, but today they were put to rest with the official cast list for the show.

Who is Simone Kessell? - Obi Wan Kenobi Disney+ Series

Simone Kessell is a New Zealand actress who's most notably known for her work on such shows as ABC's Of Kings and Prophets from 2016, ABC's The Crossing from 2018, and FOX's Terra Nova from 2011 and films such as 2015's San Andreas and 2017's 2:22.

She has a long list of film and TV credits dating back to 1992. Among the notable credits listed above, she appeared in episodes of Xena: Warrior Princess, Criminal Minds, and CSI: Miami as well as a handful of other science fiction movies and shows.

It's unclear what her role in Kenobi will be, but she's definitely going to be someone to watch for when the series finally releases.

Other Kenobi Cast Members

The rest of the newly announced Kenobi cast are Hayden Christensen, Moses Ingram, Joel Edgerton, Bonnie Piesse, Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, and Benny Safdie.

While no roles have been announced for the rest of the cast (save for Christensen as Darth Vader) the Obi-Wan Kenobi series seems to be in good hands. Star Wars has seen plenty of success through its various TV outings.
