A new free update has been released for the Maxis developed hit PC exclusive The Sims 4.

The update introduces a toddler life stage, which has been an oft requested addition for the game from fans. The team has been working for years to develop this feature, carefully choosing timing and design elements. Toddlers are highly interactive and players will be responsible for potty training them, teaching them to speak, teaching them new skills with flash cards and even throwing adorable dance parties.

If your sim is to become a good parent, you'll also bond with your toddler by reading them to sleep, carrying them around the house, or babbling away about trucks. The update includes a wealth of content supporting the new feature:

We've added over a hundred new animations, dozens of new interactions, and great new suites of outfits and objects. But most importantly, we've bridged a really meaningful part of your Sims' lives.
