Sims 4 New Werewolf Game Pack Lets Players Unleash the Beast

June 2, 2022

It’s an exciting week for fans of The Sims 4 and the supernatural; the game’s new Werewolf Pack launches June 16, introducing lycanthropes and a new city for players to explore.

Move over vampires, The Sims 4 has a new supernatural being in town! Roughly five years after the release of the Sims 4 Vampire pack, the game now adds a new way to explore the night – werewolves.

Though funky aesthetics and abilities aren’t new to The Sims 4, this upcoming game pack brings much more than just a new form to customize. Introducing both the werewolf form and an entirely new city full of NPCs and mysteries, The Sims 4 Werewolf pack brings players into a hairier situation.

Though EA didn’t delve too deeply into the intricacies of the new pack, the trailer unveiled a clawful of fun new actions. The trailer sees a player wolf out in a flash of red light and run through a moonlit forest. Fighting one-on-one with another werewolf, the player earns their respect and joins the greater community to become one of the pack.

Similar to the trailer, players will be able to create their own werewolf form. In typical Sims fashion, the player can customize anything – from the scars and eye color down to tufts of fur. The game links the beast and human forms, so any features and clothing will carry over between the two looks. Though, if that’s not your style, players can unlink the forms to get as monstrous as they like.

Even cooler, the game doesn’t limit the werewolf form to just aesthetics; Sims players will have faster movement, lunar resistance, and other abilities as they grow their power.

The Werewolf Pack adds a new location as well: Moonwood Mill, an old town lumber-mill-turned-werewolf-metropolis. With moon-themed locations like Lake Lunvik or hidden tunnels like The Underground, this new location provides a wealth of new content for players to explore.

Moonwood Mill is home to two wolf packs – the Moonwood Collective and the Wildfangs. Players can take part in a series of trials to join a pack and eventually rise through its ranks. Both groups have pretty distinct flavors, allowing players to experience different sides of werewolf life.

Of course, woven throughout the town is a mystery entrenched in werewolf history. This new story element to the game encourages players to sink their teeth into new lore – and discover what it really means to be a werewolf.

The Sims 4 Werewolves Game Pack will be available on June 16 for PC and Mac, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One.
