Game developer Dark Star Studios announced its upcoming game Sinner: Sacrifice for Redemption will be released on Nintendo Switch, PS4, and Xbox One October 18. If you are a fan of titles like Dark Souls, you may very well enjoy this game as they are quite similar in style.

Sinner: Sacrifice for Redemption had an official announcement trailer in July 2017, where it gave details on what platforms it would release on, and then in August last year it released its first official 1080p screenshots.

The game tracks a soldier named Adam, who has a very shady past. He sets sail on a journey for absolution where he comes face to face with brutal monsters, based upon the seven deadly sins, to save his soul. Before each fight, Adam must surrender a part of himself and succumb to a permanent debuff, which obviously means the fights become increasingly harder and harder.

Iain Garner, who is director of developer relations at Another Indie has stated that:

“Sinner provides the intense action players crave in hardcore games through intimate battles that are accessible in any order. By giving players the freedom to choose their path through its devilish challenges, Sinner offers player agency without sacrificing a compelling story.”
