The awesomely animated fighting game Skullgirls Encore has been doing its thing on the PlayStation 3 for some time. Today, it’s been announced that the quirky fighter will be heading to the PlayStation 4 and PS Vita later this year.

“Very little has been constant during Skullgirls‘ two year existence – after all, the game has changed distributors and even developers. But one thing has stayed with us all this time: people asking us to port the game to PS Vita and, more recently, PS4,” says Peter Bartholow, CEO of Lab Zero Games on the PlayStation Blog. “We read your comments, we took them to heart, and we’re finally making it happen: Skullgirls Encore will be coming exclusively to PS4 and PS Vita later this year!”

These versions of Skullgirls Encoure will be “complete” and they’ll come with all of the DLC characters, stages and story. The “All Play” multiplayer lobbies and art galleries will be included as well. The PS Vita version will be playable on PlayStation TV and will support two player local co-op and will support the DualShock 3 and DualShock 4 controllers.

More news on the features for these versions will be released in the future so stay tuned for more as it develops.
