Skullgirls Fundraiser Clears $375,000, Funds Big Band DLC Character

March 13, 2013

The Skullgirls community is continuing its staggering demonstration of support for the game with Lab Zero’s Skullgirls fundraiser. As of now, the fundraiser has cleared a jaw-dropping $375,000 in donations. This is more than twice the amount of the fundraiser’s initial goal of $150,000. Furthermore, fans have donated enough money to fund the development and release of yet a second DLC fighter for the game.

Big Band – the game’s second DLC character and first male fighter – will now be happening.

While Big Band alone has been funded, $25,000 more in donations will be needed for him to come with his own stage and story mode campaign. Furthermore, Lab Zero has shared some detailed rough sketches of the River King Casino stage – the game’s upcoming bonus stage. The stage looks really nice in color and it looks pretty cohesive with the game’s overall theme and tone.

The fundraiser will be continuing for two more weeks, so I’m pretty sure we’ll also see a stage and story mode campaign for Big Band. How exciting! View the new sketches of the River King Casino below. Find the fundraiser page here.
