The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition Can be Played for Free This Weekend on Steam
PC players that are still unsure whether or not to purchase The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition, this weekend is your chance to play it for free.
Valve has announced that this weekend PC players will have the opportunity to try The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition out for free on Steam.
According to Valve, the free weekend is now available and will conclude on Sunday, September 10th 1:00 pm PST/4 pm EST. Players will have access to the full version of the game, as well as all the expansions that were released for the title. If you are interested in continuing your adventure throughout Skyrim, you will have the chance to purchase the game for 50% from September 7th until Septemeber 10th.
Originally released in November 2011 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim tells the story of how dragons have returned to Tamriel as well as the prophecy of a hero who has to harness their power. The game has since seen a re-released on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 with a Switch version anticipated to launch later this year. On top of that, Bethesda is working on adding PlayStation VR capability into the game sometime this November.
Speaking of Bethesda, in addition to launching Dishonored: Death of the Outsider expansion, Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, The Evil Within 2, and Quake Champions, the publisher is also launching Fallout 4: Game of the Year Edition on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on September 26th.
