With practiced precision, Skyrim player u/walter-fring landed a series of awesome archery trick shots by Whiterun's Valtheim Tower.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim has one of the most satisfying archery mechanics built into the game. Bows and arrows are probably the most useful ranged weapons a player can have, whether they're battling bandits or fighting off dragons.

Of course, as useful as archery is, it also lends itself to some pretty awesome trick shots. One Redditor, u/walter-fring, knows this all too well. Taking aim at bandits across the river and up in cliffs, u/walter-fring clears out Valtheim Tower with some skillful snipes.

SKYRIM PLAYER U/WALTER-FRING'S TRICK SHOTS

In a video originally posted to the r/Skyrim subreddit, u/walter-fring headed east of Whiterun to take on the bandits at Valtheim Tower. The Nordic tower, which normally resides over the major river in the area, is home to a small camp of enemy bandits. Usually, players can simply pay the bandits a toll to get free reign of the tower - but u/walter-fring had other ideas.

Equipped with Auriel's Bow and a quiver full of Dragonbone arrows, u/walter-fring rained a stealthy storm of arrows on the bandits. Aiming an arrow to the sky, they proceeded to take the other bandits down before the sky arrow finally hit its target.

After nailing two bandits across the river, u/walter-fring then used the Whirlwind Spring to jump from their vantage point. They landed on a platform right next to another bandit, but a quick Pacify spell rendered the them non-hostile. With the lookout pacified, u/walter-fring then blasted the remaining guard with a powerful fire rune.

Rune spells are normally limited by a specific distance, but u/walter-fring came prepared. Using an item called Ahzidal's Helm of Vision, they were able to boost the range of their runes. So, following a direct hit from the fire rune, the final guard fell, and the tower was cleared.

Of course, this kind of archery skill only comes with lots of practice. u/walter-fring had commented that it actually took several tries to correctly line up the sky-arrow snipe. Though, once they landed that, it was smooth sailing from there. It's incredibly satisfying to see such a clean bandit camp clear-out!
