One of the greatest joys of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is the sheer variety of available play styles. Players can wield war hammers, two-handed greatswords, or cast powerful spells; they can summon dragons, play instruments, and get married. All of these vastly different experiences lead to a seemingly endless number of ways to experience the game - including, of course, taking advantage of hilarious bugs and exploits.

Redditor u/walter-fring is well-known within the Skyrim community for their unique trick shots and clever use of exploits. They've taken advantage of game physics and stuck it to Nazeem a number of different ways, all to test the limits of the game. Now, they've taken to using magic exploits to transform NPCs into Skyrim's iconic sweetrolls. From the universally hated Nazeem to Dragon Priest Miraak, no NPC is safe from the soul-trapping skills of Redditor u/walter-fring.

LET ME GUESS - SOMEONE SOUL-TRAPPED YOU IN A SWEETROLL?

Soul trapping is Apprentice level Conjuration magic that players get access to fairly quickly in the game. If a target dies within the past 60 seconds, players can use the spell to fill a soul gem. Souls gems usually house souls for magical purposes - enchanting weapons and armor, recharging enchanted abilities, and so on. Of course, players can't usually soul trap enemies into items other than soul gems, but with the power of exploits, anything is possible. And it seems that soul gems are no longer enough.

In a clip posted to Reddit, Skyrim player u/walter-fring soul-traps NPC Mercer Frey deep within a dungeon. The Thieves Guild leader transforms after defeat, turning not into a Soul Gem, but a Sweetroll.

The main strategy here is using the Vampiric Grip exploit. This allows u/walter-fring to have the Vampiric Grip ability at just level 1, even as a human. Giving the player the power to lift any creature into the air, Vampiric Grip is the perfect ability to combine with well-timed spell attacks.

Additionally, Mercer Frey isn't the only NPC subject to this sweetroll soul-trapping. Nazeem, the most hated merchant in Skyrim, is similarly flung into the air in the clip below. Only this time, u/walter-fring is aided by his dragon summon.

Atop Dragonsreach, u/walter-fring flings Nazeem high into the air with Vampiric Grip. With Odahviing summoned, the dragon sends a slew of attacks raining down from above. Once they defeat Nazeem, they're able to use another Scroll of Soul Trap to turn him into a sweetroll. Sweet justice indeed.
