Coming off the announcement of major reveals like a new DOOM, a new Wolfenstein, and yes, even the long-awaited announcements of Starfield and The Elder Scrolls VI, Bethesda also let itself have some fun with a very quirky and hilarious reveal for Skyrim: Very Special Edition.

During its E3 2018 presentation, Bethesda Softworks had a very notable (and very hilarious) video for what it called Skyrim: Very Special Edition, which showcased an Alexa version of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim on the popular home device, starring comedian and actor Keegan Michael-Key of Key & Peele fame.

While the video itself, at first, seemed like a way for Bethesda to poke fun at itself for seeming to port Skyrim over to virtually every system imaginable, it turns out that Bethesda was only half joking: yes, Skyrim: Very Special Edition is in fact real, and you can download the app to your own Alexa device right now.

The description for the app details that it is "the version of Skyrim you never saw coming" and that it has "finally arrived on the platform you never asked for." Specifically, the app includes the ability to "quest and explore the dungeons of Skyrim," "master your weapons, spells and shouts," and you can even "guard your knees against arrows." Now that, right there, is immersion if I ever saw it.

Skyrim: Very Special Edition is available now for Amazon Alexa, and in case you missed the hilarious announcement video from Bethesda's E3 2018 Showcase, you can check out the video below:
