If you're sick of your friends dominating you as the Golden State Warriors in NBA 2k18, you can breathe a sigh of relief with the news that Slam Land, a fast-paced party game that wants you to slam dunk your friends, is headed to Steam, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch on August 7th.

Slam Land, the latest title from Bread Machine Games, is not a basketball game by any stretch of the imagination. That being said, it will fulfill all of your Shaquille O'Neal-esque fantasies of dunking on all of your friends. Or, rather, dunking all of your friends themselves.

Operating predominantly as a fighting game, Slam Land tasks you with weakening your opponents and dunking them into a giant blue man in the center of the map "whose only amusement in life is to witness mighty and majestic slams." Additionally, the game includes modes that enable players to slam other objects, including, peanuts, horses, and trash. Featuring a motley group of playable characters (most bizarrely, an anthropomorphic carrot and a cartoonish skeleton), Slam Land is the type of game that I can't imagine playing quietly; the type of game that will have my friends and I rowdily laughing until the early hours of the morning.
