On the off-chance that you were getting tired of playing Enter the Gungeon for Switch, fret no more, as developer We Are Fuzzy announced that their twin-stick, base-building shooter Sleep Tight will be released for the Nintendo Switch and PC on July 26th.

In Sleep Tight, players are tasked with protecting a child’s bedroom from oncoming waves of monsters. This is accomplished by constructing elaborate pillow forts, setting up traps, and blasting monsters with your handy dart gun. Announced in November of last year, the game was instantly lauded for its unique, Pixar-esque art style. Despite the reality that players are fighting monsters, the game's art style lends it a sense of levity, and honestly, serves as a palette cleanser in a market saturated with pixel-art games.

One of the more interesting things about Sleep Tight is that it incorporates a hodgepodge of miscellaneous genres. Sleep Tight simultaneously plays as a top-down shooter, a twin-stick shooter, a base-building game, a tower-defense game, while ultimately being a fleshed out horde mode. It’s going to be interesting to see how the game combines all of these mechanics, and honestly, I couldn’t be more excited. Something tells me that this is going to be a game that I won’t be able to put down.

Sleep Tight will be released on July 26th for the Nintendo Switch and PC - in the meantime, check out the new release date trailer below:
