Sackboy and friends will be making their way onto European PlayStation consoles a week later than its original planned release. LittleBigPlanet 3 will now be hitting the PlayStation systems on November 26th, rather than the 19th — a change that will not affect the release in North America.
“We’re currently working our socks off with Sackboy and friends to get the game to you as soon as possible but it’s recently come to our attention that we’re going to have to move the release of LittleBigPlanet 3 in Europe by one week to give Sackboy the best opportunity to shine,” Sony explains in a EU PlayStation blog post.
While there isn’t very much information, per se, on why the game is being pushed back, one can speculate is may have something to do with LBP3 launching side by side with other heavy-hitting IP’s releasing the same week such as Far Cry 4, Dragon Age: Inquisition, Project Cars and Escape Dead Island, with a few other titles looming in this release window. I doubt that, at this juncture, there are any developmental changes being done to the game considering the US release date has gone unscathed.
