Sling Television Coming to Xbox One

Let’s ditch cable! Sling TV and Xbox One team up for a cheaper cable alternative.

This DISH-owned service will bring channels like ESPN, ESPN2, TNT, TBS, Food Network, HGTV, Cartoon Network, and Disney Channel along with some VOD (video on-demand) services. The reason you should be excited is that Sling requires no commitment or weird fees attached to your monthly bill.

The Sling TV app will launch exclusively on the Xbox One in the next few weeks. The service itself will cost $20 a month which seems like a good alternative to your standard cable provider.
