Developer Fire Face and publisher Adult Swim Games have announced that Small Radios Big Televisions is launching on PS4 and PC on November 8th.

Here’s an official overview of the game via PlayStation:

Explore, manipulate, and distort cassette tapes using your TD-525, a device that enables its wearer to enter the surreal worlds contained therein. Descend into abandoned factories seeking lost tapes and the peculiar gems they hide. Magnetize tapes to uncover secret gems and drag them to unlock high security doors. Solve mechanical puzzles to advance through the winding halls of each factory. Will you be able to discover what happened, or even your way out?

Features:

  • Collect: More than 30 different tapes and distorted versions to explore.
  • Listen: Distinctive soundtrack that changes along with each tape that is warped.
  • Search: Find items within the tapes to help you continue on your journey.

Owen Deery of Fire Face accompanied the announcement with the following statement over on the PlayStation Blog:

“When I first started working on Small Radios Big Televisions two years ago I had no idea what it would grow to become. Like the cassette tapes themselves, the game has been constantly evolving, changing and growing into the finished product we have today. I wanted to create a place you could get lost in, a game that puts you at ease instead of on edge, and I think that’s something we’ve achieved.”

Small Radios Big Televisions is set to launch on PS4 and PC on November 8th. A price point has yet to be divulged.
