Although Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is the latest title in the series, the Melee version is still popular enough to get its own esports tournaments. The latest, and one of the biggest, Smash Melee events of this year was finished only a few hours earlier.

Beating Zain 3-2, Mang0 won the Smash Summit for the first time ever after recording a 5-win run from the lower bracket into the finals. With this win, Mang0 achieved yet another great trophy in his Smash career.

The interesting part about Mang0's win is the fact that he always performs great unbeatable runs through the lower bracket. Prior to Smash Summit 11, he had won three other tournaments through a long run from the lower bracket as well.

Smash Summit 11 Prize Pool

The total prize pool of the event reached $155,640 by the end of the tournament, of which Mang0 earned $46,692. In the case of the prize pool, Smash Summit 11 was among the top tournaments of this year in the Smash Bros. category.

What is the Next Big Tournament

Later in August this year, you can watch pro players competing against each other in Smash Summit 3 for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

In November this year, there will be Mainstage 2021 event and afterward, in December 2021, the Smash Summit 12 tournament for Melee fans will be back again.
