Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Becomes Europe’s Fastest-Selling Home Console Game Ever

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate continues its impressive run by becoming Europe's fastest-selling home console game of all time.

Let’s be honest, we all knew Super Smash Bros. Ultimate was going to be huge! With an enormous cast of characters featuring familiar faces from popular franchises such as Castlevania, Super Mario Bros., Street Fighter, Final Fantasy, and many more, there was no way that this wouldn’t be a triumphant title. However, I doubt anyone could have predicted just how big the game would actually be.

Following the wave of milestones revolving around Nintendo that was revealed this morning, it seems that Super Smash Bros. Ultimate’s sales have gone above and beyond any rational expectations. Not only has it played an important part in helping the Nintendo Switch become this generation’s fastest selling console by selling more than three million copies of the game stateside in just 11 days, but it’s now been revealed that the immensely popular game has broken yet another record.

A tweet from the official Twitter page for Nintendo of Europe has proudly stated that Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has become the region’s fastest selling home console game of all time. To make this momentous achievement even more impressive, the game was released exclusively on Switch and is not cross-platform.

If you’re one of the few people who hasn’t gotten involved in the wave of  Super Smash Bros. Ultimate hype just yet, you can pick up a copy of the game via Amazon.
