London-based studio Solar Sail Games has finally unveiled the release date for its upcoming indie title Smoke and Sacrifice.

According to the press release, Smoke and Sacrifice is slated to launch at the end of this month on Thursday, May 31. Smoke and Sacrifice will launch first on the PC and the Nintendo Switch for $24.99, with those who buy the game on either platform receiving a 20% discount for the first two weeks starting from the game’s launch date. While the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions anticipated to release sometime later this year.

Smoke and Sacrifice set in a gritty fantasy world where intimidating creatures prowl the land, and harsh societal customs rule those with an iron fist. In Smoke and Sacrifice, players control Sachi, a young mother who embarks on a quest to unravel the truth as to what happened to her child.

Although the title takes huge inspiration from modern survival titles, Smoke and Sacrifice redefines the genre by offering a deeply personal story, which will take players on an emotional journey, along with a sophisticated ecosystem. As numerous feral creatures roam the land, foraging for resources, mating, breeding and preying on one another, players will be tasked with taming these creatures if they want to discover the dark truth that lies ahead.
