In case you didn't know, the voice actor for Metal Gear Solid's Snake has been replaced with Hollywood star Kiefer Sutherland who is nowadays best known for his portrayal of Jack Bauer on Fox's 24. According to series director Hideo Kojima, Sutherland was picked as the new Snake because of how different the character is in the upcoming Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes and MGSV: The Phantom Pain.

While promoting the movie Pompeii and shooting 24: Live Another Day in London, video game site IGN asked Sutherland about his work in Ground Zeroes.

The actor said that Snake would be similar to Jack Bauer in that he is “a little edgier, and a little more angry about his history.” Sutherland went on to say that there is a "secret" in the game as far as Snake is concerned but that we would have to play Ground Zeroes to find out.

What this secret could be is anyone's guess but as a die hard MGS fan myself, my mind is swimming with ideas of what this secret could be. Knowing how twisted Hideo Kojima is, it might be best to not over think this too much since any guesses will probably be dead wrong.

Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes will be available for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One on March 18th
