After months of waiting, the SNES Classic Edition is finally here. To celebrate the mini console's release date, Nintendo has uploaded a new trailer showing off the mini-console in action for nostalgic gamers everywhere.
Much like its predecessor, the SNES Classic Edition is a mini version of the Super Nintendo Entertainment System that emulates 21 (pre-installed) games that were released on the fourth generation console, including the never-before-released rail shooter Star Fox 2. Currently, the product is available for $79.99 in stores and online.
Regardless of which region you live in, these are the 16 titles guaranteed on the console:
- Contra III: The Alien Wars
- Donkey Kong Country
- Final Fantasy VI (aka Final Fantasy III)
- F-Zero
- Kirby Super Star
- The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
- Mega Man X
- Secret of Mana
- Star Fox
- Star Fox 2
- Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts
- Super Mario Kart
- Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars
- Super Mario World
- Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island
- Super Metroid
If you live in the West, there are five additional games exclusive to this version:
- EarthBound
- Kirby's Dream Course
- Street Fighter II Turbo: Hyper Fighting
- Super Castlevania IV
- Super Punch-Out!!
Lastly, the Japanese Super Famicom version includes these five titles:
