SNES games coming to the Nintendo Switch have been rumored for quite some time now. At first, it began when SNES game titles were uncovered inside of the console's online service. It began to circulate some more when a SNES controller was filed to the FCC that was strikingly similar to the capabilities of the NES controller that launched along with NES Online. Well, those rumors can be put to an end now that Nintendo has finally announced during their September direct that SNES games will be coming to Nintendo Online. The plan will be similar to the NES titles and will include 20 games at launch. You can see the list of games launching in the tweet below.

Speaking of launch dates, Nintendo Online subscribers will be able to play these titles starting tomorrow.

To top this all off, it looks like the rumored SNES controller turned out to be true. The new wireless controller will cost $29.99 and will be to charge via a USB cable.

This was a long time coming. Some NES titles still hold up to this day but the well was beginning to run dry as of late with their monthly game announcements. Super Nintendo games should give the service an incredible boost and win back plenty of subscribers.
