Earlier this year, Rebellion voiced their intention to flesh out Sniper Elite's presence on Nintendo Switch. Sniper Elite V2 Remastered was the first game to hit the hybrid console back in May, and now a port of Sniper Elite 3: Ultimate Edition will be following it up. Today, a gameplay trailer for the new version of the 2014 shooter was released, revealing that the Nintendo Switch will receive Sniper Elite 3: Ultimate Edition this October. Check out that trailer below:

Sniper Elite 3: Ultimate Edition comes to Nintendo Switch on October 1, with pre-orders for the port opening on September 17. Its release comes just 11 days after the launch of the Nintendo Switch Lite, so Sniper Elite 3: Ultimate Edition will be one of the first major and mature Lite-compatible titles to be released. That being said, those playing the port of Sniper Elite 3: Ultimate Edition on Nintendo Switch Lite will not be able to experience the HD Rumble and gyroscope aiming features that are unique to this game.

Fortunately, they will still have access to the Pro Controller support as well as the local wireless multiplayer. Players will be able to go through the Campaign, Overwatch, and Survival modes with two players and competitively with four players via local multiplayer. As it is an Ultimate Edition, this version of Sniper Elite 3 will include all of the DLC ever released for the title, like the missions where the players save Winston Churchill and kill Adolf Hitler.

While Sniper Elite 3: Ultimate Edition is already available on PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One, it will be available on Nintendo Switch as well starting October 1, 2019.
