The first teaser trailer for CI Games' Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 shows off an accurate shot taken from 1506 meters away from the target. A smart way to announce the key feature of the game.

With Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts, CI Games made some essential changes in the series. The developers tried to get rid of the story-driven linear shooter gameplay and delivered an open-world sandbox experience in various maps and locations, allowing players to accomplish their objectives the way they want.

In Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2, the development team will follow the same idea by creating bigger maps that allow extreme long-range sniping from distances over 1000 meters. This is going to be CI Games' big new feature in Contracts 2, along with some overall improvements in visuals, realistic shooting elements, and some new accurate weapons to enable long-range sniping for players. Marek Tyminski, CEO of CI Games explains:

The Sniper community really enjoyed the changes we made with Contracts and the sniper paradise sandboxes but, based on their feedback, we designed the latest game with very long-range shots in mind.

We hope to continue building on the best sniping gameplay around and make significant steps forward in bringing modern, realistic sniping experience to consoles and PC. Our team is really excited to introduce the extreme range campaign in Contracts 2.

According to the studio's press-release, Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 will be available this winter, though the teaser trailer above doesn't reveal anything about the launch date of the game. That said, it reveals that the game will hit Xbox One, PS4, and PC. It will be available on Xbox Series X as well.

The first Contracts received promising reviews from the media, which somehow revived the series again with much improved and modernized gameplay mechanics. The new entry is expected to tackle the previous issues and bring a more complete experience for realistic sniping fans.
