Snipperclips Tops Nintendo Switch eShop Download Chart for the First Half of 2017

Snipperclips: Cut it out, together! shrugs off Mario, Zelda, and Minecraft off the top of the Nintendo Switch eShop download chart for the first half of 2017.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Ima let you guys finish: but Snipperclips: Cut it out, together! was the best-selling Nintendo eShop game for the first half of 2017!

That’s right, yesterday, Nintendo of Japan released the top-selling Nintendo Switch eShop titles for the first half of 2017, and it’s none-other then SFB Game’s Snipperclips sitting pretty at the top, followed by (of course) Minecraft at No.2.

Nintendo declined to release any exact download figures, so we don’t know how much exactly the unique and charming co-op puzzle game sold..but it won’t care, number one is number one after all.

Coming in at No.3 is Mario Kart 8’s enhanced Switch port: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Following is Kamiko and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild rounding out the top five in that order.  Meanwhile, New IP ARMS ranks at No.7 despite having a limited time on the market, while 1-2-Switch comes in at No.9.

It’s worth noting that games like ARMS, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild all will have sold a considerable amount at retail — which in turn would lessen their digital sales. Meanwhile, Snipperclips is only available digitally, as well as Kamiko, which only helps their cause in regards to this chart.
