We're almost at that time of the month in which all Pokemon GO player's focus shifts towards a single species.
Community Day is one of the most popular reoccurring events within Niantic's AR hit, as players have the opportunity to nab themselves a bucket load of shiny Pokemon.
This time out, following Fletchling, Roselia and Machop this year, is none other than the Grass Snake Pokemon, Snivy.

Start Time and Date
Snivy's Community Day is just a couple of days away, kicking off on Sunday, April 11. The Pokemon will be appearing more frequently in the wild from 11 am to 5 pm in player's local timezones.
Shiny Snivy Details
Unfortunately for some players, Shiny Snivy has already been available in Pokemon GO, taking a little bit of the prestige away from this weekend's event.
For those who haven't seen/caught the bipedal snake Pokemon, there isn't a great deal of difference.
The Pokemon turns from a bright green colour to green with a slightly more blue hue. This is the same for the whole evolution line.

Aside from the abundance of Shiny Pokemon, the other benefit of Pokemon GO Community Days is the ability for Pokemon to learn a special move.
This time out, any Servine that is evolved will net the owner a Serperior that knows Frenzy Plant.
Frenzy Plant is a killer move and anybody who has played the Pokemon GO PVP modes will likely have faced it on more than one occasion.
During the event, as always, Incense will last for three hours. On top of this, players will earn 3x Catch Stardust for the duration of the event.
As usual, Niantic is also offering a Special Research story and a special item box.
The Special Research story this time out is called "Snivy in the Sunshine" and will offer players the opportunity to earn a range of rewards. The Research will be available for 0.99 USD (or equivalent currency).
