With only a few weeks left until launch, retro gaming fans are getting excited about the selection of 13 games available on SNK 40th Anniversary Collection for Nintendo Switch. Already packing classics like Athena and Psycho Soldier alongside war titles such as Guerrilla War and 1988's P.O.W, there are a lot of games on offer.

However, if there's one thing better than retro classics, it's free retro classics! As previously promised, NIS America is following SNK 40th Anniversary Collection's release with a wave of 10 free downloadable games to bulk up the title's catalogue. The first five of these have recently been announced and should be enough to whet your thirst for some old school '80s action.

The first DLC bundle will feature five games from yesteryear, spanning wildly different genres. First off the bat is Fantasy, a game that takes you through a thick jungle setting in order to rescue your kidnapped lover. Taking things in an entirely different direction is Chopper I, an action-packed vertical shooter which allows you to take on waves of incoming military vehicles while piloting a heavily armed helicopter. Arcade hit Sasuke vs. Commander has also secured a spot on the list along with sci-fi shooter Time Soldiers which supplies some time-traveling shenanigans. The quintet of titles is topped off by the bizarre 1983 top-down driving game Munch Mobile.

SNK 40th Anniversary Collection lands on Nintendo Switch on November 13, while the DLC bundle will be available on December 11.
