SNK Heroines Tag Team Frenzy came out swinging when it was announced during the most recent Nintendo Direct. The game hosts a roster full of female fighters from the SNK library of characters and most recently revealed Nakoruru as a playable character.

SNK Heroines Tag Team Frenzy is not a typical fighting game with an HP bar and complex special executions. The game has some fairly deep combo systems but also has a special that is activated with one button. In order to win a match, players must connect a number of hits and initiate a finishing combo opportunity.

Once a character has accumulated enough Special Points, players must connect a special move and end the fight. However, specials can be dodged and blocked so the fight could go on for some time if the players know how to properly switch out characters and us their SP to its fullest potential.

DualShockers had the opportunity to preview SNK Heroines Tag Team Frenzy during the NISA 2018 Press Event where we could choose between six characters. Controls took some getting used to, but the game's mechanics and unique items made each match entertaining to play as well as watch.

We also had the chance to sit down and speak with SNK Heroines Tag Team Frenzy producer Yasuyuki Oda and designer Kaito Soranaka to talk about how they plan to approach DLC and also details on the game's story mode.

SNK Heroines Tag Team Frenzy is coming to PlayStation 4 and Switch in 2018.
