Gaming has increasingly been gaining the attention of mainstream audiences thanks to titles that capture the zeitgeist like Fortnite or tech like Google Stadia that is attempting to bring games to new audiences, but SNL has even more recently tapped into the world of games for one of its most recent sketches. In the most recent episode of Saturday Night Live from April 6, one of the sketches aired that night happened to delve a bit into the world of video games with the appropriately-titled "New Video Game" skit.Specifically, the skit features Game of Thrones' Kit Harington (the host of that episode) alongside other SNL cast members as they become part of a VR game demo that happens to bear some striking resemblances to the recently-released The Division 2.Of course, Ubisoft took the opportunity to provide their own tongue-in-cheek response to the sketch:

This isn't the first time that SNL has had sketches based around games before, as the show also featured a prominent sketch earlier this season based around Fortnite. Likewise, in a turn of events, the Matt the Technician character from SNL also managed to make his way from the show into a video game as a player character mod for Kylo Ren in Star Wars Battlefront II.
