Spider-Man spotted in the Matrix world!

April 29, 2022

The Matrix Awakens demo on Unreal Engine 5 seems to be a favorite setting for many superhero games. First, someone created a Superman demo inside it, and now, a Spider-Man demo has appeared online!

Unreal Engine 5’s official release on PC earlier this month was a huge step forward for Epic Games and developers worldwide. The new version of Unreal Engine brings many new features and creates many new possibilities for game developers.

The Matrix Awakens demo that was released last year on next-gen consoles was only a portion of the capabilities of Unreal Engine 5. Hopefully, with the launch of this demo on PC along with the engine itself, creative developers are trying out various ideas with its setting.

A Spider-Man Version of Matrix Awakens Demo is Now Available for Free!

Only a few weeks after Superman, now Spider-Man has been spotted in the Matrix Awakens‘ world as well! A YouTuber, DWR, shared some footage of a playable Spider-Man demo based on the Matrix Awakens‘ megacity. This demo allows you to play as Spider-Man and swing between the skyscrapers with the ability to walk on walls.

Hopefully, this Spider-Man demo is now available for download for free and you can get it from here. That being said, keep in mind that this is not an optimized demo, and without a powerful PC, you might run into some issues playing it.

Overall, the Superman demo was looking better than that of the Spider-Man, due to better character animations. However, both demos lack any action or combat features and only allow you to explore the city.

Unreal Engine 5 is now available for free on PC through the Epic Games launcher.
