Son of Nor’s Creators Announce Device That Lets Players Control the Game With Their Mind

Stillalive studios, the creators of Son of Nor, has announced a partnership with the makers of the Brain Computer Interface (BCI), a personal interface for human computer interaction, which will allow players to control their character’s actions and abilities with their minds. The BCI uses sensors to tune into electric signals produced by the brain to detect the user’s thoughts, feelings and expressions in real time.

And for those that would like the elect out of the unique system, you can still use the more traditional keyboard, mouse and gamepad.

Besides how fascinating the technology is on its own merits, I personally think this control scheme is rather fitting for the game, since the characters control terrain, the elements and objects with their own minds. If you need see it to believe it yourself, check out the video below. If you would like to support Son of Nor, go here to contribute to the Kickstarter.
