Today, developer Sonic Team and publisher Sega released a new, two-minute-long gameplay video showcasing Sonic Forces’ Classic Sonic gameplay, which was originally teased during a Nintendo Direct presentation earlier this month.

More specifically, the new video shows Sonic blasting his way through the iconic Green Hill Zone. For those that don’t know: Green Hill Zone is a recurring Zone in Sonic the Hedgehog games. It is widely known and held as one of the most famous video game levels of all time, and because it debuted as the first Zone in the original 16-bit version of Sonic the Hedgehog, it was the first Sonic experience for many gamers. The Zone, perhaps most distinctively, features checked brown soil, as well as green fields, and big beautiful blue lakes.

As you may know, Sonic Forces features three playable characters: Modern Sonic, Classic Sonic (shown off here), and a third character who has yet to be revealed.

Sonic Forces is set to release for PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC sometime this holiday. Below, you can check out the new video as well as some new screenshots:
