Sonic Mania Gets New Trailer Revealing Flying Battery Zone; Delayed to the Summer

Sonic Mania won't make its scheduled Spring 2017 release window, but got a new zone reveal.

During a panel at SXSW in Austin, Sega showcased a new trailer of of the upcoming Sonic Mania, also updating the release window that was previously scheduled for Spring 2017.

The new release window isn’t that far off, summer 2017, with the development team mentioning that they need a little more time in order to deliver a “great game” to the fans.

The new trailer showcases the Flying Battery Zone level, which has briefly been described as follows:

“Take to the skies above Angel Island once more aboard Eggman’s famed airship armada, making its return from Sonic 3 and Knuckles!”

Recently, if you want to see more, Sega introduced the Green Hill Zone Act 2 stage, and the new “Hard-Boiled Heavies” bosses.

Sonic Mania will release in digital format for PS4, Xbox One, PC and Switch.
