Today during the Sonic the Hedgehog panel at this year’s SXSW event, Sega announced that it would be teaming up with clothing company Puma to release a line of Sonic the Hedgehog apparel.

Although Sega did not go into full detail as to what type of Puma x Sonic gear would be released, what we do know is that a limited-edition pair of shoes, the PUMA x SEGA RS-0 SONIC will launch sometime this June. Additionally, Sega provided fans with a teaser video, with a pixilated image of the new shoes.

In other Sonic the Hedgehog news, a physical edition of the 2017 2D title Sonic Mania was announced and will be launching sometime this summer along with a spinoff animated series titled Sonic Mania Adventures, with the first look at the animated series available to view. Additionally, Sega also teased that a new Sonic racing game was in the works with no additional information provided at this point in time.

Personally, despite a crystal clear photo of the shoes currently unavailable, based on the blurred image the shoes look interesting in design and certainly pay homage to the speedy blue hedgehog. You can check out the teaser video below this article.
