Sonic The Hedgehog 30th Anniversary stream predictions

First off, it's important to note that back in 2019, Sega announced that several Sonic games would be coming in 2021, and how it'd be a "big year" for the fastest hedgehog. Following this announcement, many fans expected some news to come around in 2020, but nothing happened as the pandemic struck.

However, back in late 2020, Sega reconfirmed that several Sonic projects would be coming in 2021. This means we'll definitely be getting at least two games getting announced.

Sonic Generations 2, new anime, new spinoff

The most likely scenario is the announcement of a new Sonic anniversary game. A follow-up to Sonic Generations, which launched for the 20th anniversary in 2011.

Next, a new Sonic anime series could be announced as well. Personally, as a Sonic boomer, I'd love a new 2D series like Sonic X. With that said, the Sonic Boom 3DCG series was pretty good too if you get used to Knuckles' increadibly bad redesign. Sticks the Badger, the new character voiced by Aoi Yuuki, was pretty cool as well.

Lastly, together with a "traditional" Sonic game getting announced, Sega might reveal a more outlandish Sonic spinof. Perhaps we could see a new Sonic JRPG getting announced.

In any case, we are bound to see some major announcements seeing all that teasing from Sega. Are you excited for Sonic's 30th anniversary? You can always reach out to me and share your predictions on Twitter @A_iyane07.
