After countless teases and leaks over the past few months, it seems like we could finally get our first look at the upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog movie in the form of a trailer by tomorrow.Coming by way of Sega Bits, a YouTube channel dedicated to all things related to Sega, the Sonic the Hedgehog movie trailer is slated to finally release tomorrow. This would give us our first official look at the film and its interpretation of the iconic blue hedgehog, who we have yet to officially see from the upcoming movie. In addition to this information, Sega Bits also released an image that is reportedly from the film and it features Jim Carrey as Dr. Robotnik. Carrey can be seen sporting the character's iconic red garb in addition to a sick mustache. The picture's legitimacy was backed up further by Sega Bits in a series of subsequent tweets that showed that Carrey's version of Robotnik seen in the image lines up with past information from the movie that has leaked.Assuming that this picture is indeed real, then my excitement for this movie just got even higher. It is so strange to see Jim Carrey playing the role of Robotnik but I think his version of the character could actually be a lot of fun. In typical video game movie fashion, I have major doubts that this movie will actually be good, but at this point, it has become something that I just kind of have to see for myself. And if I'm being honest, the tackier the movie looks, the more interested I continue to be in seeing it.If the official trailer does end up dropping tomorrow, we'll be sure to share it with you. Sonic the Hedgehog is set to hit theaters later this year on November 8, 2019.
