After announcing the release of a custom hard drive cover for the PS4 dedicated to Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn, Sony Computer Entertainment Japan and Asia actually announced a full fledged PS4 bundle with the game and said custom cover.

The bundle, titled Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn X PS4, is already available for pre-order on Sony's own Japanese store and costs 45,180 yen ($437) plus taxes. Only 1,400 units will be sold. It even get its own custom model code: FFXIV-1000.

The hard drive code is laser etched with the logos of the game and is removable.

The bundle will be released on the same day as the game, April 14th. Unfortunately there are no news, for the moment, about a western release,  but my money is on "won't happen."

And no, if you're wondering, it's not an April Fool, partly because we're already close to April 2nd in Japan, but mostly because Sony already provided, turning its Japanese website into a travel site named "PS Travel Station," encouraging visitors to go on trips linked to PlayStation games, like a four-day Seattle tour on inFamous: Second Son or a visit to the ruins with Knack and more. Every ad comes with its departure airport and list of additional services.

You can see a screencap of the site at the bottom of the post, immortalized for the posterity, alongside a gallery showcasing the very real Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn X PS4 Bundle.
