Apparently Sony just entered talks with Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance co-director Brian Taylor to start work on a silver-screen adaptation of Twisted Metal, everyone’s favorite car combat franchise featuring a deranged lunatic dressed as a clown. Marvel’s Avi and Ari Arad are also reportedly producing the movie, according to Deadline.

Sweet Tooth and Doll Face are said to be featured in the film, although their exact roles and prominence has not been detailed. Of course, the film will feature the titular Twisted Metal tournament, wherein unfortunate souls are offered the opportunity to  have one wish granted should they triumph in a rage of vehicular combat. That’s about all the concrete info available at the moment but we’ll keep you posted as we learn more.
