PlayStation Japan CEO to Retire at the End of August

President and CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment Japan and Asia Hiroshi Kawano has announced that he will be retiring at the end of the month.

Kawano began working at Sony in 1985, and has worked both at Sony Computer Entertainment Europe and as vice president of Consumer Sales.

Most recently, Kawano headed the the PlayStation brand in Japan, and was also part of the PlayStation 4’s launch worldwide.

Kawano will succeeded by Atsushi Morita.
