Sony Computer Entertainment Japan and Asia President Hiroshi Kawano attended the first episode of the PS4 Lab on Nico Nico, and while he didn’t deliver any big announcement, he greeted the audience with a speech about the upcoming launch of the console in Japan.

There are 3 weeks until the launch of the PS4 on February 22nd. In this show I want to deliver the fun and charm of a variety of software. By all means I want you all to be excited and participate actively with comments.

PlayStation is celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2014 and this year we release the PS4. We’ll work hard to energize the gaming Industry, and we also would like you all to be excited.

And the comments to the video were indeed quite excited, especially as the Japan-specific PS4 First Limited Pack with the camera and Knack was unboxed and showcased by the lovely idol Akina Minami.

Whether the audience was more interested in the console or in the lady, that will forever remain a mystery.

Hailing from sunny (not as much as people think) Italy and long standing gamer since the age of Mattel Intellivision and Sinclair ZX Spectrum. Definitely a multi-platform gamer, he still holds the old dear PC nearest to his heart, while not disregarding any console on the market. RPGs (of any nationality) and MMORPGs are his daily bread, but he enjoys almost every other genre, prominently racing simulators, action and sandbox games. He is also one of the few surviving fans of the flight simulator genre on Earth.
