Sony Launches PlayStation F.C. UEFA Champions League App; Features Fantasy Football and Score Predictor Modes

If you have been following the football world, then you will know the UEFA Champions League first round of the Group Stage starts tomorrow. Sony Computer Entertainment Europe is launching an app that will please football and gaming fans alike, it’s called PlayStation F.C. UEFA Champions League.

The app features three main modes, Fantasy Football, Top Five (coming soon) and Predictor. The first one is like any other Fantasy Football game, letting you choose your team, formation, manage transfers and climb through the rankings.

Although the Top Five mode won’t be available from the start, it will let you choose the top five players in the next match. That’s not all, if you like to predict match scores with your friends, the Predictor is for you. It will let you predict the result before the game’s kickoff , and if you get it right, you receive points.

Those points let you climb through the leaderboards, and depending on your position you receive awards. Check out the full list of awards below:

  • Matchday prizes: PlayStation Vita, €100 PlayStation Store Wallet Top-up, 12 Month PlayStation Plus Membership
  • Grand prize (after the end of the Quarter-Final stage): 2 x tickets to the UEFA Champions League Final Milan 2016, with flights and accommodation
  • End of season prizes: PS4 – Ultimate Player 1TB Edition, DUALSHOCK 4 wireless controller, Wireless Stereo Headset 2.0, €100 PlayStation Store Wallet Top-up, 12 Month PlayStation Plus Membership
  • 5 x end of season runners up prizes – PlayStation Vita, €100 PlayStation Store Wallet Top-up, 12 Month PlayStation Plus Membership

Lastly, these prizes will only be available to the following countries: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, India, Ireland, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey and the United Kingdom.
