Sony: No Plans to Sell Darth Vader DualShock 4 Separately; PS4 Star Wars Classics Will Be on the PSN

If you don’t want to get a whole new PS4, but you’d like to still get a piece of the new limited edition Darth Vader console, unfortunately you won’t be able to purchase the DualShock 4 separately, as mentioned by Sony’s Sid Shuman in the comments of the related post on the PlayStation blog.

“No plans at present.”

On the other hand, there are good news about the four classic games coming with the bundle, Super Star Wars, Star Wars: Racer Revenge, Star Wars: Bounty Hunter and Star Wars: Jedi StarFighter. According to Shuman they will be available separately on the PlayStation Store.

“Yes – you’ll be able to buy the four games separately on PS Store. They’ll have Trophy support, too!”

If you’re waiting for pre-order and pricing details for North America, they should come soon:

Why Ratchet & Clank is the Most Important PS5 Game

“No pre-order or pricing details available yet, but should be coming soon!”

It’s definitely a pity that the controller won’t be made available separately. I really don’t need another PS4, but I’d definitely throw money at Sony for the DualShock 4. At the very least, though, I’ll be able to relive my nostalgia with Star Wars: Bounty Hunter. It was one of the first games I wrote a walkthrough for. Good times…

He is also one of the few surviving fans of the flight simulator genre on Earth.
